Anthony J. Grant: Managing Director - is a procurement specialist with over 39 years experience in the public, private and manufacturing sectors, including running his own purchasing consultancy and business management company.

He is a versatile project procurement task force leader with extensive experience with on-site and overseas assignments, covering all aspects of procurement and materials management, purchasing vehicles, electrical and agricultural plant, medical supplies and equipment and computer systems for Manufacturing and Service Industries and Overseas Governments, as well as leading London Hospitals, including Guys and St Thomas' Hospital Trust.

After leaving the Crown Agents, as Chief negotiator, set up XCA Associates, pooling expertise and management skills in all sectors and industries.

• Rationalisation of the print supplier base from approximately 200 suppliers to 10, which delivered benefits through economies of scale and continuity of supply. Management of the supply base is also much reduced and the monitoring of the contracts for utilisation is simplified

• Implementation of Electronic ordering through desktop PC’s for such commodities as desktop stationery, IT consumables, copier paper and business stationery

• Assisted in the development of multi-line electronic bidding for tendering purposes

• Reviewed purchasing procedures for National Company, to improve processes, reduce waste, shorten lead times and provide a better service to customers

• Implemented sourcing strategy and monitor supplier relations for large UK Company (£80m turnover). Responsible for sourcing policy bother internally and externally. Monitor and evaluated changing marketing conditions and best practices for procurement and establish standard procurement processes for corporate policies including supplier qualifications for commodity families and strategic importance

• Implementation of sourcing strategy for property professional services, including rent reviews, valuations, rating appeals, dilapidations and CPOs. Procurement management for the pre-qualifications to contract award and implementation for Property Holding Company

Away from the business environment, Anthony Grant is a keen sportsman and athlete with many achievements, including Marathon Champion for Belgrave Harriers, and has completed marathons in London and New York.

His main interest being in Martial Arts and is a Master and holds a Black Belt in many Martial Art disciplines, including Tai Chi Chaun, Spontaneous Wu Qin Xi, Chi Kung Fu and Chinese Yoga and teaches at classes including these and many other mind and body fitness disciplines.

An expert with over 49 years experience he advocates general fitness and undertakes group sessions and private one to one lessons in Self Defence, Self Confidence, Relief from Stress amongst many others.
